  1. Jones named Southeast Region Player of the Year for North Greenville

Utah Jones was named the Southeast Region Player of the Year. Jones hit .403 with 21 2B’s 52 RBI’s 5 HR’s and was 18-20 SB. 

  1. Edwards and Haney Named to CUSA All Freshman Team

Luke Edwards (Marshall) and Josh Haney (UNCC) were named All Freshman this past week.  Edwards hit .260 with 8 2B’s 1 3B and 2 HR’s while Haney hit .281 with 2 2B’s 1 3B and 1HR.

  1. Smith Named Player of the Year for Topsail

Aiden Smith (2019 UNCW commit) was named the Pender County Player of the Year.

  1. Kemp helps Randleman to 2A State Championship Game

Matt Kemp (2020 NC State Commit) was dominate on the mound in helping Randleman reach the 2A State Championship game. He had 7 k’s in the first 3 innings on the way to picking up the win. 

  1. Sharpe Propels UNCW to Championship game with dominate performance!

Zarion Sharpe pitched 7 2/3 innings with 7 k’s and allowed only 1 run in a dominate performance that would send the Seahawks into the championship game which they would defeat Elon and are headed to the NCAA Tournament.

  1. Clarke wins SEC Tournament Championship with Walk-off hit for Vandy!

Phillip Clarke had a 2 out single to drive in the winning run in the bottom of the tenth to help Vanderbilt win the SEC Tournament Championship. 

  1. Jeffers named MILB Player of the Week for the Twins Organization. 

Ryan Jeffers was the Minnesota Twins player of the week this past week.
