HANCOCK TO LEAD YOUTH PROGRAM

We are pleased to announce the hiring of Everett Hancock as our Youth Program Director. Everett will help pilot our efforts to continuing building on our already succesfull youth team program.

The Havelock native graduated from Havelock high school in 1998 where he helped lead the Rams to a 3-A State Title while being named MVP of the Championship Series. Hancock still holds high school pitching records: ERA in a season (0.81), Strikeouts in a season (158) and Wins in a season (14).

Hancock played at UNC-Greensboro from 1999-2002 leading the Spartans in innings pitched and games started in 2000 and 2001. From UNC-G he was drafted in the 28th Round by the Detroit Tigers.

After retiring from professional baseball Hanocked served as an assistant at Ragsdale high school from 2004-2010, winning a 3-A State title in 2006. In 2011 he joined the Forsyth Country Day School staff and won another State Championship that same year before taking over as head coach in 2012.

Hancock is married to Lindsay and they have two sons, Owen (8) and Jaxon (4).
