Known best for his high-flying catches in the outfield and his speed and daring on the bases. A standout player for Clemson University (2007-2011) and the Dirtbags (2004-2005), Addison Johnson is now “Coach Johnson.”
Johnson started 117 games for Clemson University over 4 years and also spent two summers in the Cape Cod league. The stellar left-handed hitting outfielder was drafted by the Oakland A’s in 2009. Johnson was a notorious, speedy lead-off man for the Dirtbags in 2004 and 2005. He was an All-State pick as a junior and senior at North Forsyth high school under Head Coach Jamie Lowe. Johnson was also the MVP of the North Carolina vs. South Carolina All-Star game in 2006.
Johnson is now doing work now for Impact Baseball, Inc. He is single and resides in the Tri-Ad, NC area.
