Trey Daly named General Manager

Dirtbags Baseball owner Andy Partin has announced that Trey Daly has been named General Manager of the Dirtbags Baseball program.

“I’m very happy and proud to announce Trey Daly will serve as the General Manager of Dirtbags Baseball,” owner and founder Andy Partin said. “Trey has been with us since 2011 and has done an outstanding job helping build our program and lead us as one of the most recognizable and elite programs in the USA. Trey has a tremendous work ethic and a keen eye for talent. He’s forged great relationships with high school coaches, college coaches and professional scouts throughout the Region and across the Nation. I look forward to continuing to work with Trey and building on the strong foundation we have in place.”

Daly has helped lead the recruiting efforts with the Dirtbags since 2011. Always a player favorite, Daly brings a wealth of enthusiasm and knowledge to our program. The New Bern, NC native has been instrumental in the continued success of the Dirtbags through his leadership on and off the field.

“My family and I would like to extend our gratitude to Andy Partin and the Dirtbags family for this incredible opportunity,” Daly said. “I am humbled and honored to serve as the General Manager of the Dirtbags. Since 2011, I’ve had the privilege to work alongside a great group of coaches and personnel staff. Together, we have built a strong foundation of players and tradition that have helped us sustain success on and off the field. I’m looking forward to continuing our progress as we head into 2018.”

In High School, Daly starred on the diamond for the New Bern Bears under legendary skipper Gary Smith. He then went on to receive his degree in Management of Parks and Recreational Facilities in 2008 from East Carolina University.

Daly began coaching in high school baseball in 2004 and coached until 2012 before coming on board full-time with the Dirtbags. He is now an active associate scout with the Miami Marlins.
