What made you want to get involved with Dirtbags baseball?

I wanted to be involved with a passionate program with tradition. It is great to be involved with the Dirtbags because you are surrounded by people who live the game.

How has your experience been coaching with the Dirtbags?

I’ve really enjoyed coaching with the Dirtbags because of the people. From the leadership with Andy and Trey, to the other coaches, and down into the players there is an attitude and passion for this game that I haven’t seen anywhere else. When you are around other Dirtbags you know you are getting their absolute best all the time and it helps to bring out your absolute best too.

What’s one thing you didn’t know about the Dirtbags that you know now since being involved in it?

I had no idea how rapidly the organization grow. These guys are always working on putting the best product on the field for Dirtbags.

When you hear the word “Dirtbags” what comes to mind?

Passion, winning, camo.

What’s your message you try to install in the Dirtbags players?

You only have so long to play this game. Enjoy every rep, every AB, every game and do it to the very best of your ability.

Most memorable game coaching with the Dirtbags?

Beating MSI in my first game at Perfect Game last summer.

What are you looking forward to the most about the Dirtbags summer?

Getting to play hard nosed baseball with a new group of young men, teaching them what I know, and growing in the game.
