How was your offseason? What part of your game did you work on?

I had a great offseason. I mainly focused on my speed and strength. Spent a lot of time in the weight room and getting reps in the cage.

How has the high school season been going?

High school season has been going great. We won our region and are 18-7 going into first round of the playoffs.

For people that haven’t seen you play, describe Tanner Garrison’s game?

Tanner Garrison leads by example and always plays for his team not himself. Also, I think most would describe me as a strong defensive catcher with good catch and throw skills.

What are your strengths as a player?

My strengths as a player are I am a good receiver behind the plate with catch and throw skills. From an offensive standpoint I think I can have quality at bats to help the team.

What are you looking for in a college home?

I’m looking for a good environment with a strong education; on the field I’m looking for a team that wants to win and plays for each other.

When you hear the word Dirtbag Baseball, what does it mean to you?

A phenomenal baseball program where players learn about the game as well as have a great time playing. To me the Dirtbags promote playing hard without fear of failure.

How has the Dirtbags helped you become a better player?

Exposed me to competition I never thought I would be able to compete against. As well as playing on a team that has great players up and down the order.

How did you get involved with the Dirtbags?

Coach Trey Daly showed up at a tournament down in South Carolina and talked to my dad and I after the game.

Best memory so far as a Dirtbag?

My best memory so far was going to play in Jupiter. It was an unreal experience with the amount of talent at one location as well as the amount of college and pro scouts in attendance.

Best piece of advice you have gotten since playing with the Dirtbags?

To trust the process of recruitment and keep grinding. If you work hard, play hard and trust in the coaches something good will happen.
