How has the season started off at Tuscola?

We’ve had a solid start to the season. We opened up with a two game conference series in which we won both, so 2-0 to start. We have some strong bats in our line-up.

Who’s Tuscola biggest rivalry?

Our biggest rivalry at Tuscola is Pisgah High School.

What are you strengths as a baseball player?

My strengths as a baseball player: I am very strong defensively. I think I have great instincts for the corner spots, and I am a gap to gap hitter that will hit for average.

What area of your game did you work on this offseason?

This off-season I worked on my arm strength, and I spent lots more time in the weight room.

Last fall was your first season with the Dirtbags. What did you learn that you did not know coming in to the program?

Coming into the program, I learned how important being in the weight room is to improving your overall game. I also learned how important a proper diet and getting enough sleep can be.

When you hear Dirtbags, what comes to mind?

When I think of the Dirtbags, I think of a top-notch, hard-nosed organization who competes at the highest level and works hard to promote its players.

What are you goals for the summer?

My main goal for the summer is to hit for more power, and to consistently make hard contact in games.

Who’s the best player you have played with while playing with the Dirtbags?

The best player I have played with on the Dirtbags is Nate Essick (2019, Uncommitted)…he is a five tool player.

If you had to pick one Dirtbag teammate to get a game winning hit, who would you pick?

Vito Patierno (2019, UNC-Charlotte Commit)

What are you looking for in a college home?

I am looking for a college that is academically strong, and has a strong baseball tradition. Also a coaching staff that believes in my ability as a player

What’s one thing most people don’t know about Jack Sutton?

I love basketball and have been a two year starter at Tuscola, and I enjoy collecting top minor league prospect autographs.  I travel to as many minor league games as I can.
