Southern Lee had a great 2018 season, what do you attribute the success to?

Two things: a team first attitude and a never give up mentality. Everyone on this team, has put the team goals over their individual goals. Anyone on this team will do whatever role their called to do as long as it helps the team. Also this team never quits. No matter what inning or what the score is, this team believes that they are going to win. It has been a very fun year here at Southern Lee.

How long have you been coaching at Southern Lee?

This will be my third season at Southern Lee, and I have enjoyed every minute I have been here.

What subject do you teach at Southern Lee?

I teach math of various levels.

What made you want to get with the Dirtbags?

I wanted an opportunity to be apart of a great baseball organization. The Dirtbags do things the right way, all the time. They have built an incredible name for themselves, and I just wanted an opportunity to be a part of that.

How has your experience been coaching with the Dirtbags?

Fantastic! I have had the opportunity to coach some great players and coach in some great venues, that would not have an option with other organizations.

What’s one thing you didn’t know about the Dirtbags that you know now since been on board with them?

The Dirtbags are a family. Just because you on a different team than someone, doesn’t mean you are alienated from them. No matter what team or what age group, the Dirtbags are a family. Also all the coaches of the organization work collectively to help ensure all of their players take the next step in their baseball careers. Every coach in the Dirtbags organization works tirelessly to help the players achieve at the highest level.

When you hear the word Dirtbag what comes to mind?

The best, the absolute best. If you want to be a part of the best, then you better play for the Dirtbags.

For players out there thinking about joining the Dirtbags, what’s your message to them?

Always give 100%, 100% of the time. The moment you slack off, is the moment when you get passed. The Dirtbags don’t accept anything less than 100% from their players.

What are you looking forward to the most about the summer with the Dirtbags?

I am looking forward to heading down to Atlanta for the Perfect Game WWBA and making some noise down there.
