CHAD ANDERSON
Chad Anderson played under Ed Fulton at Averett University from 199-2002. During his time there he was an All Region selection and named all conference multiple times. Anderson is most proud of the turnaround Averett baseball had during his time there.
Averett went from a 12 win team to being nationally ranked during the last three years of his playing career.
After graduating from Averett, Anderson returned to his hometown high school to coach at Chatham High. Chatham High Baseball was a dominant force in the area during Anderson’s tenure. They have won multiple district and region titles. In 2009 and 2019, Chatham High won the VHSL state championship. Multiple players from Chatham have went on to play college baseball and Bradley Haymes was drafted by the Chicago White Sox. Anderson has been inducted into Chatham High School’s Hall of Fame along with Averett’s Hall of Fame.
Chad has been with the Dirtbags and had various roles since 2018. From 2020-2023, Chad and Jon Walker have coached the 17U All Blacks team. During this time, the All Blacks won the BCS National Championship and were runners up in Jupiter. Currently, Chad runs the offense for the 17U National team.
Anderson resides in Chatham Virginia with his children, Lilly and Clayton.
