PHIL MAIER

Phil Maier is from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he played baseball at Thomas More High School. After high school, Maier, played Division II baseball for University of Wisconsin Parkside and earned a Bachelors of Science Degree in Criminal Justice. After his playing career ended, he continued at University of Wisconsin Parkside as an Assistant Baseball Coach for four years working with both position players and as a Pitching Coach. During this time, Maier also earned his Masters Degree in Business Administration.

Following his time at University of Wisconsin Parkside, Maier moved on to Division I High Point University, in High Point, North Carolina, and spent seven years there as the Pitching Coach. Following his 11 years of coaching college baseball, in 2008, Maier stepped away from full-time coaching and took a job outside of baseball. To keep himself involved in the game and assist players with their development, Maier started coaching with the Dirtbags in the summer of 2008 and continues to assist in the summer and fall seasons to this day.
