Ty D’Amico grew up in Waxhaw, North Carolina where he attended Marvin Ridge High School. At Marvin Ridge, D’Amico won Union County Pitcher of the year in 2018. In 2019, D’Amico completed a Post-Graduate year at the Salisbury School located in Connecticut, where he would win Western New-England pitcher of the year.

D’Amico played his first two years of collegiate baseball at Hofstra University before facing medical complications associated with Crohn’s disease. After a medical redshirt, D’Amico transferred to Carson-Newman where he just completed his senior season. D’Amico is currently pursuing his Masters in Business Administration.
