What are you looking forward to the most about 2018 with the Dirtbags?

In 2018, I’m looking forward to getting better with my teammates and competing at a high level. 

What made you want to be a Dirtbag?
I was looking for more exposure to colleges and a environment to challenge myself. 

What’s one thing you learned you didn’t know about being a Dirtbag?

I learned that everyone is out to beat you, when you have Dirtbags across your chest. You have to carry a sense of pride onto the field.

What does being a Dirtbag mean to you?Being a Dirtbag is all about playing hard every game and playing together as a team and not as an individual.

Who’s the best player you have played with in the Dirtbags? 
It’s hard to single out one player, the 2020 group is a special group and we all have a tight bond on and off the field.

Most memorable game as a Dirtbag?
The most memorable game I have is actually a loss. It was the round of eight game of the 2016 15u WWBA. We took the loss 1-0 and that really hit our whole team hard and made us hungry to come back better this coming summer.

Take us through a normal day in the life of Garrett Chandler?
I wake up everyday at 4:30 am and head to the gym to get a workout in. After the gym, I head to school. Once school has been completed, I head back to the gym and get a workout in and hit. When I get home I work on homework.

Where do you get the passion and the work ethic from?
I feel like putting in the extra work will pay off and set me ahead of my competition in the future.

You have a very strict plan from working out to what you eat. What made you decide to take this route?

I want my body to perform at its highest level every time I step onto the field. I’m focus on gaining muscle consistently and my body will not succeed unless it has the right fuel.

What do most people not know about Garrett Chandler?
I like to deer hunt in my free time.

To the younger Dirtbags out there, what would you tell them?
Work hard in the weight room and the cage. You will receive the benefits on the field.
